What brought you to the field of survivorship?
During my college years, I was exposed to the social challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis. That experience sparked my curiosity and led me to explore how I could better serve and support my community. It ultimately inspired me to pursue a career in social work.
What excites you most about the future of survivorship?
What excites me most about the future of survivorship is the opportunity to help improve someone’s quality of life. I see this work not only as a way to support others, but also as a reminder of the importance of self-care and compassion in the healing process.
What's the best part of being part of the OncoveryCare team?
One of the most rewarding parts of working in recovery care is being part of an incredible team of individuals who are deeply dedicated to helping others. Their passion and commitment continue to inspire me every day.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
As a child, I dreamed of becoming a marine biologist or an anthropologist, driven by my deep love for history and nature. While my path evolved, that same curiosity and appreciation for people and the world around me still guide my work today.
What's your favorite way to spend a Sunday morning?
On a more personal note, my favorite way to spend a Sunday morning is at home with my kids, enjoying time together and embracing the simple moments
