As a psychiatrist, I have always been most interested in the intersection of physical and mental health conditions and integrated care models. I was drawn to the field of survivorship because it exists at this intersection, and because of the opportunity to help develop a thoughtful, multidisciplinary approach to supporting survivors that is informed by survivors.
I think we are just starting to see survivorship recognized as a unique experience that comes with specific health concerns. While it is disappointing that there isn’t a full existing care model for survivorship, it is so exciting to be part of a team that is working to fill this gap with the best model possible.
Where to start! I feel so lucky to work with a group of passionate individuals who are committed to putting survivors first. Everyone on the team is kind, supportive, and always willing to pitch in.

After sleeping in, I love to take a walk to my favorite bagel shop to get iced coffee and an everything bagel with lox.
